Meet your Hosts

Michael & Robert, owners of Kettleboro

Robert and Michael both natives of Ulster County, purchased and renovated the 19th century family home in 2012, with an eye for its potential as a beautiful guesthouse. After extensive renovation dedicated to restoring and preserving the home’s historic charm, the cozy amenities of the property and breathtaking views of the rolling Shawangunk landscape lends itself to one of the most prized getaways in the Hudson Valley. And with Robert’s roots in hospitality and Michael’s commitment to detail, their vision to host a beautiful bed and breakfast for locals and travelers alike was a natural progression. In 2014, The Inn at Kettleboro was born and quickly became known as “the inn with a view”.

A stay at Kettleboro includes a delicious farm-to-table breakfast every morning in the large breakfast room overlooking the Gunks. Surrounded by some of the best hiking trails in the entire Hudson Valley, guests are invited to bike or walk on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail behind the Inn, venture to the Gunks for a more intense hike, or wander around the fun shops of eclectic New Paltz.  And a sunset at the Inn’s expansive blue stone patio is one that won’t soon be forgotten. In the colder months, Kettleboro offers several downstairs parlors, with a cozy fireplace to enjoy.

With four comfortable guest rooms to choose from, find the perfect space with an array of modern amenities to suit your needs.

We look forward to meeting you.

Robert and Michael

History

Kettleboro circa 1935

Kettleboro circa 2022

Originally built in 1830 as a Dutch Colonial, Kettleboro has been the home of four families until it became the Inn at Kettleboro ten years ago. Opened in 2014 after an extensive renovation that now offers modern amenities in a wonderful Hudson Valley setting rich in history, the inn has welcomed many visitors since it’s doors opened. Located on a 12-acre apple and peach orchard and offering one of the most spectacular views of the Shawangunk Mountains along the scenic byway, Kettleboro is a true escape from the everyday.

The inn has seen many changes over the past 195+ years, but its beauty and landscape continue to delight guests as they unwind during their stay. Join us and experience a true Ulster county getaway.
